We run helpful self-empowerment workshops to help clients better face the demands of life, and to get closer to living their lives more authentically.

4 week, (online) Inner Child Workshop, starting Monday 10th of July 2023, at 5:30pm, AEST. Each session will go for 90 minutes and can be claimed with Medicare on a current MHCP.

Why inner child you may ask? Well, we don’t often realise that many of our stress responses; mental, emotional or physical challenges are due to deep seated unresolved emotional pain that we carry around. We don’t always know why we may frequently get unmotivated, depressed, anxious, feel victimised, or constantly disappointed with ourselves, life and other people. At times we may also wonder why we keep making the same self-sabotaging decisions.

These patterns often stem from a dysfunctional relationship with the inner child part within the emotional psyche that carries a false narrative that has been on repeat since childhood. The hurt emotions resulting from childhood experiences of abuse, neglect, or trauma show up in adulthood as explosive (or suppressive) anger, isolation, bad relationship choices, negative self-talk, feelings of being overwhelmed, being a people pleaser, or keeping others at arm’s length. This in turn adds a lot of stress on the nervous system.

4 week, (online) Bringing Joy to Our Nervous System – starting Tuesday 10th of October 2023, at 5:30pm, AEST (Brisbane Time). Each session will go for 90 minutes and can be claimed with Medicare on a current MHCP.

Why is joy important? There’s now research to prove that joy boosts our immune systems, fights stress and pain, and improves our chance of living a longer life. It also makes us more resilient and strengthens our autonomic nervous system. Being authentically joyful and relaxed could quite literally add years to life!

In session, with some of my clients, we often talk about cultivating joy and one of the easiest ways is getting more present to the simplicity of present moments. When I gave one of my clients the homework of noticing when she felt joy in her week, she reported back saying she felt a bit silly at the time she felt the most joy. It was after a particularly hectic evening that included yelling at the kids to get to bed. When her youngest resisted the regular routine, she paused and took the time to get present with him and snuggle. She said that feeling him soften against her and snuggle in while he told her about his day was the purest joy she’d noticed in a long time. The joy occurred because she’d made the space to notice and be present to it. Presence was the key.

Body Wisdom – starting Monday 22nd of January 2024, at 5:30-7:30pm, AEST (Brisbane Time)

Exploring through somatic landscape This two hour workshop is a great start for increasing your body awareness and utilising your mind-body connection to relieve stress. Whether you’re feeling stressed about money, relationships, work, family or health related issues, somatic body work and awakening to how we use our energy is crucial for stress reduction and in turn overall health and wellbeing.

Limited spaces available. To book in please email us here. The workshop fee is $250 and can be paid off in 4 weekly instalments. The rebate for group therapy is anything between $20-$130, depending on whether you have reached the Medicare threshold for this year or not.
